ON1 Photo RAW MAX 2026
ON1 has been a part of my photo processing toolset for a long time. The latest version is Photo RAW MAX 2026.
Just a few observations on masking and selections.
One of the nicest features of ON1 is the good automatic masking. Here is a recent photo.
It is not bad, but could benefit by having the background a little blurred. I loaded it onto PaintShop PRO, duplicated the image twice and went to ON1 – it works well in PSP.
A single click on Masking-Background gave that. Note the wisp of hair on the lady’s back and that the background in the eyeglasses was also selected. Neat!
Clicking the accept checkmark and back to PSP.

Pretty neat and really quick.
But there are some downs. With a photo showing two people, ON1 could not find the background. It was possible to use another mode but that was cumbersome and slow.
ON1 has many other great features. It will stay in my toolshed.
